Oga has over 20 years of relevant professional experience in the Energy sector. He is the Executive Secretary of, Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG) and also the Principal Consultant of Vappax Advisory, an energy consulting and business development firm.

Prior to setting up Vappax Advisory, he worked as Head, Gas Sourcing and Wholesale Markets for Axxela Limited (former Oando Gas & Power), a leading indigenous gas distribution and infrastructure development company where he led commercial negotiations on Gas Supply Agreements with upstream suppliers and downstream wholesale buyers. In his earlier role in this company, he was responsible for developing various gas infrastructure projects to supply gas to stranded markets.

Prior to joining Axxela, he had a brief stint working as a Technical Adviser seconded to the Oil & Gas Unit of the Federal Ministry of Finance, at the time headed by Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Earlier in his career, he held Commercial/Economics and Petroleum Engineering roles with Shell Nigeria.

He has a Masters degree in Energy Studies with specialization in Oil & Gas Management from the Center for Energy Petroleum Mineral Law & Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee, Scotland, UK, a Certificate in Oil & Gas Engineering from the Shell Intensive Training Program facilitated by Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, UK and also holds a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria.

He is a member of the Nigerian Gas Association, Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the Nigerian Association of Energy Economists.
